Terms of Service
Effective 7 August 2026
1. The service
TechNews FM produces and streams AI-generated audio briefings about the technology industry, alongside a jobs board, an events board, and advertising placements. Using the service means accepting these terms; if you do not accept them, do not use the service.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be able to form a binding contract. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or abuse the service.
3. Content and accuracy
Briefings are generated by AI from third-party reporting and community sources; each episode links its sources. Despite curation and review, generated audio can contain errors or omissions. Briefings are information, not professional advice; verify anything you rely on against the linked sources. Rights in the audio, transcripts, brand and software stay with TechNews FM; personal, non-commercial listening is licensed to you.
4. Subscriptions and payments
Paid plans bill per term (monthly or yearly) through our payment provider and unlock the features listed on the pricing page for that term. Terms do not auto-renew silently: we email a reminder before a term ends, and a lapsed term returns the account to Basic. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
5. Postings and advertising
Job postings, event postings and ad campaigns pass review before airing and must be lawful, accurate and relevant to a professional tech audience. We may decline or remove any submission; charges for declined paid extras and ad runs are refunded. Submitting content grants us the right to produce and distribute audio versions of it on the service.
6. Acceptable use
No scraping at scale, reselling of the audio, circumvention of tier gates or payment flows, probing of other accounts, or interference with the service's operation.
7. Liability
The service is provided as is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TechNews FM is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email or in the app before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date accepts the updated terms. Questions go to the contact form.
